Mermaduke

Marmaduke is a handsome male Dutch Shepherd who arrived ready to embrace his new life. He quickly gravitated toward training and has been a standout student ever since. This gentle giant has a big heart and an even bigger love for his people.

Don’t let his size fool you—Marmaduke has been learning excellent manners and shows impressive impulse control, happily holding his “place” command even with other dogs around. While he shows polite interest in canine friends, he’s truly more of a couch potato who prefers snuggles and affection over nonstop playtime.

Marmaduke is a wonderful example of how a rescue dog can blossom with patience, trust, and training—and it certainly doesn’t hurt that he’ll do just about anything for a treat!
