Adoption

Working Dogs of Nevada Rescue (WDNR) specializes in rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs who deserve a second chance at life. The majority of the dogs we save are on euthanasia lists before they come into our care. Once rescued, they are brought to our rehabilitation facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, where their journey toward a new future begins.

Our Rehabilitation Process

Through structure, consistency, and dedicated care, our team works tirelessly to help each dog heal, rebuild confidence, and learn the skills needed to thrive in a home environment. After completing our rehabilitation and training program, these incredible dogs become available for adoption. However, our work does not stop there.

Education & Long-Term Support

At WDNR, we believe long-term success depends on education and support. Our fosters and adopters participate in training classes alongside their dogs to ensure a smooth transition from our facility into their new homes. This hands-on approach allows us to set both the dog and the adopter up for lasting success.

Individual Training Approach

Our rehabilitation process is the foundation of everything we do. By establishing structure and consistency early on, we create a rock-solid framework that fosters and adopters can continue to build upon with guidance from our team. Each dog’s journey is unique, and our training program is designed to meet those individual needs.

Adoption & Training Program

Adopting a dog from WDNR includes four consecutive weeks of training classes, focused on strengthening the bond between you and your new dog while reinforcing obedience and confidence. Active participation from our fosters and adopters is essential to ensuring the long-term success of our dogs.

Our Promise

Our ultimate goal is simple: to place each dog into a loving forever home—and to ensure they never end up back in a shelter. Because every dog’s path looks different, we proudly offer lifelong support to all WDNR fosters and adopters.

Our team is always here to help—every step of the way.
